While you take a break from your everyday routine, your pet is learning valuable habits that will enrich his/her life while making yours easier! Dogs attending Vacation Doggie Boarding School are reinforced for basic obedience one to three short periods a day (depending on the package), allowed lots of socialization and play time with people and other dogs, and stay in a home environment. Dogs are not kenneled (unless undergoing specific training that requires kenneling) and are allowed the freedom to interact with other dogs 24 hours a day. Advanced Canine Concepts was founded in 1996 under the name of Canine Companions to answer a growing need for humane methods of dog training. Our staff has over 10 years' experience with dogs and dog behavior. We offer various services to pet dog owners including boarding and training, vacation doggie school, private training, and group classes in obedience and flyball. Our training programs are very successful at curbing unwanted behaviors and teaching acceptable ones. All of our trainers participate in an ongoing education and training program. This program requires our trainers to have a minimum of 50 contact hours a year in seminars, group classes and competitions. Our trainers must also attend a minimum of one major conference a year and participate in quarterly evaluations and tests. This strict program ensures that all trainers are competent and you are receiving quality information and up-to-date training. Master trainers are certified to counsel owners on training as well as behavior problems and are required to give at least two seminars a year on various topics. More...
